*Charuvei chares* (חַרְוֵי חָרֶשׂ) — 'shards of pottery' — the word *cheres* (pottery/clay) appears in creation texts where *adamah* (humanity) is formed from *afar* (dust/clay). Leviathan's underside is armoured with the sharpest of broken clay — the very material of human fragility weaponised. *Charuts* (חָרוּץ) — the threshing sledge — was a heavy wooden frame embedded with flint or iron teeth, dragged over grain to separate it (cf. Isaiah 41:15). On the mud, Leviathan's belly-scales lacerate everything beneath him. The image is brutally physical. FOG and FOG Message both preserve the dual imagery of serrated belly and threshing violence.
