It is Jean Paul's lifelong work, unfolding in public — and you're invited in.

He works from a personal encounter with Jesus first, then draws on the scholarship of respected Jewish and Christian scholars — because the church was Jewish before it was anything else, and those roots change everything about how you read Scripture.

Footnotes

בָּאְשָׁה (*bo'shah*) = a foul-smelling, crop-choking weed, variously identified as darnel, cockle, or wild garlic — something that both stinks and destroys. The curse deliberately echoes the fall in Eden, where the ground brings forth thorns and thistles instead of fruit (Gen. 3:18). Significantly, תַּמּוּ (*tammu*, 'are ended/finished') shares its root with תֻּמָּה (*tummah*, 'integrity,' v.6) — the very quality by which Job has sworn his entire oath. The chapter opens with wholeness (*tummah*) and closes with completion (*tammu*): a subtle but elegant closure on Job's legal argument. FOG renders 'stinkweed' to honour the weed's sensory character; FOG Message uses 'foul weeds' to preserve the agricultural disgrace without requiring botanical footnotes.
