תָּו (*tav*) = the final letter of the Hebrew alphabet, used in antiquity as a personal mark or signature (cf. Ezek. 9:4, where it marks the righteous for preservation). Job is here formally signing his deposition — this is a legal act, not merely an emotional outburst. The entire chapter has been structured as a sworn courtroom oath; the *tav* is Job's signature, daring God to respond as the opposing party. FOG renders 'my mark' to preserve the scribal-legal image; FOG Message uses 'I sign my name' for immediate legal clarity to a modern reader.
