כְאָדָם (*ke-Adam*) = 'like Adam' or 'as a man/humankind' — a genuine exegetical crux. The phrase can read as a general human tendency to conceal sin, or as a specific allusion to Adam hiding from God after the fall (Gen. 3:8–10). The LXX and many ancient interpreters read the Adamic allusion, and the parallel of hiding 'in my bosom' (as Adam hid among the trees) strengthens the Eden echo. FOG renders 'like Adam'; FOG Message makes the Adamic narrative explicit and draws out its typological resonance — the same shame-driven concealment that fractured the garden.
