*Ke-domen* (כְּדֹמֶן, "like dung/manure") is deliberately shocking — bodies treated not as sacred but as agricultural waste. This violates the Israelite insistence on proper burial as a mark of dignity and covenant belonging (cf. Jer. 8:1–2). *Amir* (עָמִיר, "sheaf/cut grain") — the harvest metaphor is grimly ironic: death reaps a terrible crop and leaves it uncollected in the field.
