It is Jean Paul's lifelong work, unfolding in public — and you're invited in.

He works from a personal encounter with Jesus first, then draws on the scholarship of respected Jewish and Christian scholars — because the church was Jewish before it was anything else, and those roots change everything about how you read Scripture.

Footnotes

The verb *alman* (אַלְמָן) is the masculine form of 'widow,' appearing only here in the Hebrew Bible in this grammatical form. Applied to the two nations, it captures the horror of covenantal bereavement — being utterly bereft of one's divine protector as a widow is of her husband. YHWH insists this has *not* happened: despite Yisra'el's guilt, He has not abandoned them. FOG renders 'not widowed' to preserve the raw familial shock of the word; FOG Message uses 'have not been widowed' for clarity of tense.
