In the very shadow of Heshbon, the fleeing stop dead in their tracks, drained of all strength — for fire erupts from Heshbon, a consuming flame from the house of Sihon, scorching Moab's forehead and the skulls of those boisterous sons.
In the shadow of Heshbon fugitives halt, exhausted — for fire blazed out from Heshbon, flame from the house of Sikhon, consuming the brow of Moav and the crown of the sons of tumult.
