תִּקְוָה (*tiqwah*) = "hope" but also literally a "cord" or "thread" — the same word for Rahab's scarlet cord (Josh 2:18), that thread of survival stretched across impossible odds. Hope, in Hebrew, is not wishful sentiment but a lifeline. אַחֲרִיתֵךְ (*'acharitekh*) = "your end/latter days/what comes after" — eschatological certainty, not vague optimism. FOG renders "future" to hold the forward-looking sense; FOG Message echoes it while grounding it in the land-return promise.
