The high hills and leafy trees are the sites of Canaanite Baal worship — the *bamot* (high places). The verb *tso'ah* is explicit: to sprawl or crouch in a posture of sexual availability. The image of Israel as *zonah* (prostitute) is the devastating counter-image to the faithful bride of v.2 — the chapter traces the full arc of her fall from bridal devotion to ritual promiscuity. FOG renders the text with frank literalism; FOG Message uses 'thrown yourself down' to convey the same shamelessness with slightly more formal gravity.
