Three verbs carry the full theological freight of this verse: יָצַר (*yatsar* = to form, the potter's word — the same verb YHWH uses when forming Adam from dust in Gen 2:7), יָדַע (*yada'* = to know with covenantal intimacy, relational election — not mere foreknowledge but the knowing of a covenant partner), and קָדַשׁ (*qadash* = to set apart/consecrate, a priestly-cultic term used of temple vessels). Jeremiah is described with language woven from creation and priesthood: formed like Adam, known like a covenant partner, consecrated like a priest. FOG renders *yada'* as "knew you intimately" to preserve covenantal depth; FOG Message uses the simpler "knew you," allowing resonance with John 10:14 and Galatians 1:15 to breathe.
