ἔμφυτος = "implanted, grown into" — not merely inborn but something planted within, directly echoing the new covenant promise of Jeremiah 31:33, where YHWH writes Torah on the inward parts. The word is not external instruction to be followed but internalized life to be received. ψυχάς covers the full Hebrew range of nephesh — throat, life, being, self — not the Platonic immortal soul; F.O.G renders "beings" to capture this embodied, whole-person range; F.O.G Message uses "souls" as the more liturgically familiar term.
