הוֹי (*hoy*) is a Hebrew interjection of urgent summons—carrying both joyful invitation and prophetic gravity (cf. Isa. 45:9; Zech. 2:6). The verb שִׁבְרוּ (*shivru*, 'buy') draws on the root for purchasing grain, evoking the famine scenes of Joseph's brothers going down to Mitzrayim to buy food (Gen. 42)—the irony cutting: come and 'buy' what costs nothing. FOG preserves 'Hoy' as the ancient cry of summons; FOG Message opens with a gentler, sustained invitation to draw the reader in.
