"To plant the skies" (לִנְטֹעַ שָׁמַיִם, *lintoah shamayim*) is a startling phrase — *nata* is the verb used of planting vineyards and gardens (Gen. 2:8; Isa. 5:2). Applied to the heavens, it suggests the servant's prophetic word becomes the instrument of a new creation, a re-planting of the cosmos itself. This verse deeply echoes the Servant Songs and anticipates John 1:1-3 — the creative Word entrusted to a human mouth. FOG preserves "plant the skies" in its arresting strangeness; FOG Message maintains the phrase while foregrounding its new-creation dimension — the word in the servant's mouth is not merely proclamation but world-making.
