*Shobevatekh* ('led you astray/caused you to turn away') comes from *shavav* — to backslide, apostatise, be faithlessly wayward. Babylon's celebrated wisdom has become her seducer, pulling her further from any recognition of YHWH. *Ein ro'ani* ('no one sees me') echoes Ps. 94:7 — the classic language of hiding from divine surveillance, of presuming moral invisibility. The deliberate repetition of *ani ve-afsi od* from v.8 is devastating: self-deification is not a passing boast but a fixed identity. FOG renders *shobevatekh* as 'led you astray'; FOG Message as 'turned traitor on you,' surfacing the betrayal dimension of false wisdom.
