The drying of *hatzulah* (הַצּוּלָה, the deep or abyss) recalls the parting of the Reed Sea at the Exodus — YHWH's signature act of making a path through impassable water. It also anticipates the historical drying of the Euphrates that allowed Cyrus's forces to infiltrate Babylon in 539 BC, and carries further eschatological resonance in Revelation 16:12. FOG renders the divine command as staccato imperatives to capture the sheer authority of the word; FOG Message allows all three layers — Exodus type, Cyrus fulfilment, and end-times echo — to remain simultaneously in view.
