Through your servants you have taunted the Lord, and boasted: "With my countless chariots I have scaled the mountain peaks, the far slopes of Lebanon; I have cut down its tallest cedars, its finest cypress trees; I have entered its most remote retreats, its densest forests."'
By your servants you have mocked Adonai, and you have said: "With my multitude of chariots I have climbed the heights of the mountains, the farthest reaches of the Levanon; I have felled its tallest cedars, its choicest cypress trees; I have entered its remotest heights, its thickest forest."'
By thy servants hast thou reproached the Lord, and hast said, By the multitude of my chariots am I come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon; and I will cut down the tall cedars thereof, and the choice fir trees thereof: and I will enter into the height of his border, and the forest of his Carmel.
