*YHWH Tseva'ot* (YHWH of Armies/Hosts) is the sovereign warrior-king title par excellence in Israel's liturgical and prophetic tradition, invoking YHWH's command over both celestial and earthly armies. *Yoshev ha-keruvim* (enthroned/dwelling between the cheruvim) evokes the Ark of the Covenant, where YHWH's glory-presence dwelt between the golden cherub-figures in the Holy of Holies—Hizkiyahu is effectively entering the divine throne room to lay his case before the Great King of the cosmos. The prayer deliberately frames the confrontation as between two rival kings: the boasting king of Ashur, and the One who made the skies and the earth. FOG retains *YHWH-Tseva'ot* and the transliterated *cheruvim*; FOG Message renders both into functional English equivalents to make the theological grandeur immediately felt.
