Be ashamed, O Sidon — for the sea itself has spoken, the ocean stronghold declares: 'I never labored, never bore a child; I raised up no sons, I nurtured no daughters.'
Be ashamed, O Tzidon, for the sea has spoken—the sea-fortress has said: 'I have not laboured, nor given birth; I have not reared young men nor raised up young women.'
Be thou ashamed, O Zidon: for the sea hath spoken, even the strength of the sea, saying, I travail not, nor bring forth children, neither do I nourish up young men, nor bring up virgins.
