Footnotes
*Gei Chizayon* (גֵּיא חִזָּיוֹן) — "Valley of Vision" — is most likely a poetic designation for Jerusalem, the city where prophets received divine visions. The bitter irony is pointed: the very place renowned for prophetic sight has become spiritually blind, its rooftop celebrations masking imminent collapse. *Gei* means valley or ravine; *chizayon* is a prophetic vision or oracle (related to the verb *chazah*, to see or behold). FOG preserves the Hebraic place-name to retain the prophetic irony in its original register; FOG Message renders it in English to make the contrast between vision and blindness immediately accessible.
