The title *midbar-yam* ("Desert of the Sea") is a cryptic epithet for Babylon, likely evoking the marshy floodplains of the Tigris-Euphrates delta where Babylon stood — a city both desert-adjacent and river-girt. The image of Negev whirlwinds (sudden, violent, unstoppable) sets the tone of irresistible divine judgement before a single word of verdict is spoken. FOG preserves the geographical specificity of "Negev" and the directional force of the wind; FOG Message renders it as "storm winds" to capture the emotional terror of the approaching force.
