*Ot* (אֹות, 'sign') and *mofet* (מֹופֵת, 'portent/wonder') are the twin terms used throughout the Exodus narrative for the plagues against Egypt — 'signs and wonders.' Isaiah's three-year enacted prophecy against Mitzrayim deliberately echoes that Exodus vocabulary, creating sharp typological irony: the nation once humbled by YHWH's signs is now the subject of a new prophetic sign performed by His prophet's naked body. FOG preserves the Hebrew place-names to keep that intertextual shock alive; FOG Message draws out the ominous Exodus resonance in accessible terms.
