But before the harvest comes — when the blossom has dropped and the young fruit swells into a ripening cluster — He will act: pruning hooks will slash the new growth, and the sprawling branches will be severed and swept away.
For before the harvest — when the blossom is spent and the swelling grape ripens from the flower — He will cut away the shoots with pruning-knives, and the spreading tendrils He will lop off and strip away.
For afore the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches.
For before the harvest, when the blossom is gone and the flower becomes a ripening grape, He will cut off the shoots with a pruning knife and remove and discard the branches.
