Two cohortative verbs drive this verse: נֵדְעָה (nēḏĕʿāh, 'let us know') and נִרְדְּפָה (nirdĕp̄āh, 'let us pursue/chase') — the second from rādap̄, the word used for hunting prey and military pursuit. You do not stroll toward knowledge of YHWH; you chase it. דַּעַת (daʿat) carries the full weight of covenant-intimacy, not mere intellectual assent. מַלְקֹושׁ (malqôš) is specifically the latter/spring rain that falls just before harvest to ripen the grain — a loaded agricultural image of YHWH's provision arriving at the critical, final moment. F.O.G foregrounds the pursuit-verb; F.O.G Message leads with it to feel the urgency before the promise.
