Should I rescue them from the clutches of the grave? Should I redeem them from Death's own hand? — Come then, Death: bring your plagues! Come, Grave: bring your sting! For compassion has been hidden from My eyes.
Shall I ransom them from the grip of She'ol? Shall I redeem them from Death? — Where are your plagues, O Death? Where is your sting, O She'ol? Compassion is hidden from My eyes.
I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.
