Three striking Greek alpha-privatives: apátōr (fatherless), amḗtōr (motherless), agenealógētos (without genealogy). These do not assert Melchizedek literally had no parents; they observe that Genesis 14 records none of the priestly credentials a Jewish reader required — no lineage, no beginning, no end. Crucially, the participle aphōmoiōménos ("made like / resembling") is passive: Melchizedek is fashioned to resemble the Son of God, not the reverse. The Son is the archetype; Melchizedek is the shadow. F.O.G preserves this grammatical direction with "made like"; F.O.G Message draws out the typological weight with "bearing the very likeness."
