No discipline feels joyful in the moment — it is painful; yet in the end it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for all who have been shaped by it.
No discipline seems pleasant at the time — painful rather than joyful; yet afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
