So the Law goes numb and justice never wins the day — for the wicked man encircles the righteous, and what comes out the other side is justice bent beyond recognition.
Therefore the Torah grows numb, and justice never goes forth to victory — for the wicked rings round the righteous, so justice goes out twisted.
Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.
Therefore the law is paralyzed, and justice never goes forth. For the wicked hem in the righteous, so that justice is perverted.
