Why do You make me look on wickedness and force my gaze upon suffering? Everywhere around me — devastation and violence, strife and quarrelling, lifting themselves up against all that is right.
Why do You make me see iniquity and force me to stare at trouble? Devastation and violence are before me; strife rises and contention lifts itself up.
Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.
