Your eyes are too pure to look upon evil; You cannot endure the sight of wrongdoing. So why do You keep watching while the treacherous prosper? Why stay silent while the wicked swallows those more righteous than themselves?
You are too pure of eyes to look upon evil and cannot stare at trouble — so why do You stare at the treacherous ones and stay silent while the wicked swallows the one more righteous than him?
Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?
