As the time for Israel to die drew near, he summoned his son Joseph and said, "If I have found favor with you, put your hand under my thigh and swear to me — with steadfast love and faithfulness — that you will not bury me in Egypt.
When the days of Yisra'el drew near to death, he called for his son Yosef and said to him, "If I have truly found favour in your eyes, place your hand under my thigh and deal with me in covenant-love and faithfulness — do not bury me in Mitzrayim.
