Joseph made this a standing law over Egypt — still in effect to this day — that a fifth of the harvest belongs to Pharaoh. Only the priests' land remained exempt.
And Yosef established it as a fixed law to this day over the land of Mitzrayim: a fifth belongs to Par'oh. Only the land of the priests alone was not Par'oh's.
And Joseph made it a law over the land of Egypt unto this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth part; except the land of the priests only, which became not Pharaoh's.
So Joseph established a law that a fifth of the produce belongs to Pharaoh, and it is in effect in the land of Egypt to this day. Only the priests’ land does not belong to Pharaoh.
