Translations
There was no food to be found anywhere in the land — the famine was severe — and both Egypt and Canaan were wilting under its weight.
Now there was no bread in all the land, for the famine was very heavy, and the land of Mitzrayim and the land of Kena'an grew faint beneath the famine.
And there was no bread in all the land; for the famine was very sore, so that the land of Egypt and all the land of Canaan fainted by reason of the famine.
There was no food, however, in all that region, because the famine was so severe; the lands of Egypt and Canaan had been exhausted by the famine.
