They served Joseph at his own table, the brothers at theirs, and the Egyptians who dined with him at theirs — for it was considered an abomination for Egyptians to eat with Hebrews.
And they served him separately, and them separately, and the Mitzrim who ate with him separately — for the Mitzrim were unable to eat bread with the Hebrews, for that is a detestable thing to the Mitzrim.
And they set on for him by himself, and for them by themselves, and for the Egyptians, which did eat with him, by themselves: because the Egyptians might not eat bread with the Hebrews; for that is an abomination unto the Egyptians.
They separately served Joseph, his brothers, and the Egyptians. They ate separately because the Egyptians would not eat with the Hebrews, since that was detestable to them.
