עֶרְוַת הָאָרֶץ = "nakedness of the land" — עֶרְוָה (ervah) primarily denotes nakedness and shameful exposure (used heavily in Lev. 18 for forbidden intimacy), but functions here as a military-intelligence term: the land's undefended points, its strategic vulnerabilities. F.O.G renders "vulnerability"; F.O.G Message "where this land is exposed" — both capture the threat-assessment frame rather than the literal skin-exposure of the Hebrew.
