This is the story of Jacob's family line. Joseph, at seventeen years old, was tending the flocks alongside his brothers. Still young, he worked with the sons of Bilhah and Zilpah, his father's wives — and he brought their father a bad report about what his brothers were doing.
These are the accounts of Ya'akov. Yosef, seventeen years old, was shepherding the flock with his brothers — a lad among the sons of Bilhah and the sons of Zilpah, his father's wives. And Yosef brought back an ill report about them to their father.
These are the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brethren; and the lad was with the sons of Bilhah, and with the sons of Zilpah, his father's wives: and Joseph brought unto his father their evil report.
