"יְהוּדָה" (Yehudah) from יָדָה (yadah, "to praise, give thanks, confess with the hand extended") — "Praise" or "Let Him be praised." The shift is seismic: Le'ah stops petitioning for her husband's love and turns her face entirely toward YHWH. In that act of praise rather than petition, she names the son who will carry the messianic line — from Le'ah, the unloved wife, come David and ultimately Yeshua HaMashiach (Matt 1:2–3). F.O.G Message draws out this typological weight explicitly; F.O.G honours the grammatical immediacy. "וַתַּעֲמֹד מִלֶּדֶת" — "she ceased/stood still from bearing" — a literary pause marking the end of this unit; she does bear again later (Gen 30).
