The doubled "הִנֵּה" (hinneh — "behold/there") is a Hebrew particle of vivid, present-tense perception — it pulls the reader into Ya'akov's eyes in real time. F.O.G preserves both instances with dashes to capture the successive discoveries. "פִּי הַבְּאֵר" (pi ha-be'er, "mouth of the well") is literal; the well has a mouth — a detail both versions keep for its tactile force.
