מִלֵּל (millel): An archaic, elevated, and comparatively rare verb for speaking, contrasted with the everyday amar (said) or dibber (spoke). Its use here signals a formal, almost incredulous declaration — Who could ever have solemnly announced such a thing? The F.O.G's "declared" and the F.O.G Message's "dared say" both attempt to capture this heightened, emphatic register that the ordinary verbs of speech would not convey.
