וַיִּזְכֹּר אֱלֹהִים (va-yizkor Elohim) — "Elohim remembered" — divine "remembering" in biblical usage is never mere mental recall but a covenant act of turning toward and acting on behalf of (compare Gen 8:1: "Elohim remembered Noah"). Lot's entire rescue is credited here not to his own righteousness but to God's covenant relationship with Abraham. FOG makes the causal connection syntactically explicit; FOG Message italicises the "that is why" for theological weight.
