שֹׁפֵט כָּל-הָאָרֶץ (shophet kol ha'aretz) — "the Judge of all the earth" — the first explicit ascription of universal judicial authority to YHWH in Scripture, a title that becomes foundational to biblical theology. חָלִלָה לְּךָ (challilah lecha) — "far be it from You" — is a moral-impossibility ejaculation from the root חָלַל (chalal, to profane/pierce): "It would be a profanation for You!" Used twice, it brackets the appeal as an argument from YHWH's own nature — the Judge cannot act unjustly without self-contradiction. מִשְׁפָּט (mishpat) encompasses both the act of justice and the system of right order; F.O.G renders "do justice" (the system); F.O.G Message renders "do what is right" (the moral quality of the act) — both are linguistically defensible.
