karat berit (כָּרַת בְּרִית) = 'cut a covenant' — the verb directly echoes the cutting ceremony of v.10; Hebrew covenants are always cut, never merely 'made.' natati (נָתַתִּי) = 'I have given' — perfect tense treating the future gift as an already-accomplished certainty, the rhetorical force of irrevocable divine decree. 'Nahar Mitzrayim' is most likely the Wadi el-Arish (the Brook of Egypt), the traditional southern boundary of Canaan — not the Nile.
