Moedim is routinely translated "seasons," but this is the precise technical term for Israel's divinely appointed festival calendar — the same word used for "Tent of Meeting" (ohel moed) and throughout Leviticus 23 for Passover, Shavuot, and Sukkot. The luminaries are thus set to govern sacred time, not merely agricultural cycles. The F.O.G renders "appointed times" to capture this covenantal precision. The F.O.G Message uses "sacred seasons" to preserve the liturgical weight while remaining accessible; both correctly resist the weaker generic rendering "seasons."
