After everything that has come upon us — all the disaster that our own wickedness and great guilt brought down — You, our God, have been more merciful than our sins deserved. And still You have preserved for us a remnant like this.'
And after all that has come upon us because of our evil deeds and our great guilt — You, our Elohim, have held punishment far below what our twisted deeds deserved, and have given us this surviving remnant —'
