For I was ashamed to ask the king for soldiers and cavalry to protect us on the road — because we had told the king: 'The hand of our God rests in blessing on all who seek Him, but His fierce power falls on all who abandon Him.'
For I was ashamed to ask the king for a force of soldiers and horsemen to guard us against the enemy on the way — since we had declared to the king: 'The hand of our Elohim is for good upon all who seek Him, but His power and His wrath are against all who forsake Him.'
