כָּבֹוד (kavod) — literally 'weight' or 'heaviness,' and by extension 'honour' and 'glory.' The kavod is YHWH's manifest, weighty presence — not a metaphor but a perceived reality that physically overwhelms the prophet (cf. 1:28; 3:23). The pattern is consistent throughout Ezekiel: vision of the kavod provokes prostration. FOG retains 'kavod' to preserve this tangible, weighty quality; FOG Message uses 'glory,' the traditional rendering.
