YHWH's *qetoret* (קְטֹרֶת, incense) and *shemen* (שֶׁמֶן, oil) — materials consecrated exclusively for tabernacle and temple worship — are placed on a table prepared for foreign lovers. The possessive 'My' is YHWH speaking in the first person: these are not Yerushalayim's to deploy as instruments of seduction. The liturgical and the adulterous converge in the most devastating way — covenant worship objects co-opted as tools of betrayal. The parallel to the prostituted Temple treasury throughout the monarchic period is unmistakeable. Both translations retain 'My incense and My oil' verbatim, as the divine possessive is the entire indictment.
