But you must require the same quota of bricks they have been producing — do not reduce it — for they are lazy. That is why they keep crying out, 'Let us go and sacrifice to our God.'
But the same brick quota they were meeting before — impose it on them; do not reduce it — for they are slack. That is why they are crying out, saying, 'Let us go and sacrifice to our Elohim.'
And the tale of the bricks, which they did make heretofore, ye shall lay upon them; ye shall not diminish ought thereof: for they be idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our God.
But require of them the same quota of bricks as before; do not reduce it. For they are lazy; that is why they are crying out, ‘Let us go and sacrifice to our God.’
