חֹשֶׁן (choshen) — traditionally 'breastpiece' or 'breastplate of judgment' (full title: choshen ha-mishpat, 28:15). FOG retains choshen as a transliteration, since no English word captures both its physical form and its judicial-oracular function. FOG Message uses 'breastpiece' as the most familiar and readable rendering.
