מֹשֶׁה (Mosheh/Moses) — Pharaoh's daughter gives a Hebrew folk etymology from מָשָׁה (mashah, "to draw out"): "I drew him [מְשִׁיתִהוּ, meshitihu] from the water." The name likely carries Egyptian roots (ms, meaning "child" or "born of," as in Ramesses = Ra-ms), but the Hebrew text reframes it entirely: the one drawn from water will become the man who draws a nation through water. The irony is exquisite — an Egyptian princess names a Hebrew deliverer, and inadvertently names his mission.
