But the people were desperate with thirst, and they turned on Moses in fury: "Why did you ever bring us out of Egypt — just to kill us all out here? Us, our children, our livestock — dying of thirst?"
But the people were parched with thirst there, and they grumbled against Moshe, saying, "Why is it you have brought us up out of Mitzrayim — to kill me and my children and my livestock with thirst?"
And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?
But the people thirsted for water there, and they grumbled against Moses: “Why have you brought us out of Egypt—to make us and our children and livestock die of thirst?”
